The first challenge in creating a well-functioning frame bag is attaching it securely to the top tube. The CerroWorks frame bag features an innovative attachment system that uses interlocking webbing, secured by a single stainless steel rod.
This design evolved from a challenge John was given back in 2002 from Conrad Anker an expedition to Chang Tang. Conrad, along with Jimmy Chin, Rick Ridgeway, and the late Galen Rowell, needed a rickshaw system to carry their gear. John worked on the team's rickshaws for this trip and later developed this attachment system for a following expedition using tubular framed rickshaws for carrying additional gear.
As it turns out, this system is perfect for securing a frame bag to the top tube—lightweight, secure, and easy to use.
We named this bag the Expedition Frame Bag in honor of the two expeditions that inspired this design.
Features:
- Two compartments. When used together provides storage capacity for the full size of the main triangle. Removing the lower section opens up space to install a water bottle cage.
- Utilizing curved zipper openings to allow for easier access to gear.
- Built specifically to fit your CerroWorks frame.
